Snowcat Skiing: What Is It?
Backcountry skiers near Golden, British Columbia travel high into the Rocky Mountains in the warm comfort of snowcats. Traveling in groups of 12, lead by two qualified guides, skiers and snowboarders are carried to elevations of almost 10,000 ft., to ski and ride on a glacier or down great alpine bowls. The views across North America s continental divide are spectacular. Soft powder snow and fresh tracks is the expected norm, every run, every day. Frisbees
I live near a beautiful park and, every day, I see groups of people enjoying themselves with what has become a favorite recreation here in my neighborhood — the frisbee. Their fascination has led me to do my own kind of research into this frisbee craze. It’s really quite interesting.

Cruising the Caribbean
My wife and I just returned from a western Caribbean cruise. We landed in three ports. Following are details of our trip including information about the ship and the ports.
Getting There
We traveled Vancouver Toronto-Miami via Air Canada. This part of the trip was uneventful and went smoothly. The only potential glitch was a US immigration officer that seemed to want to pick a fight. When we didn t respond to his taunts and innuendos he stopped his attempts to engage us and grunted us on.
Golf in Orlando: Timacuan Golf and Country Club
On our last full day in Florida we had a chance to play another beautiful golf course, this one located about half an hour north of downtown Orlando in the community of Lake Mary. Timacuan Golf and Country Club was built in 1987 and was originally designed by a Ron Garl. In 1996 the course was renovated by architect Bobby Weed and today it is ranked in the top 14 in the state of Florida. Timacuan’s other accolades include having been chosen as one of the most golf-friendly courses for women by Golf for Women Magazine.
